This place never gets old for me. I go there several times a week for what feels like a comfort food hit. It does get busy but there is plenty of space. The guys there are very courteous. The cuisine is more South Indian so get ready for a spicy hot meal
It's been a while having a goat biryani from an Indian restaurant. And I have tried it from this restaurant specifically and I loved the quality but depressed with quantity not quite enough for my tummy at that moment. And I felt serving bowl looks good but the plates, spoons, knives, fork and so on need to be more tidy than usual because food is not only need to look good and the last thing is the tables should be more tidy that anything as per me. But I enjoyed the meal to my budget and serving was damn fast.
Please note that the food here is actually pretty tasty and in big portions and at a good price for a restaurant in the city. The reason why this place is a one star is because I found a washing brush bristle in my meal... At first I thought it was a hair when extricating it from my meal but it was definitely a bristle. There was also a weird bone thing in the eggplant curry Aside from the nasty little things in my meal it actually tastes alright lol
We went for dinner with friends who were visiting us from Adelaide. We have been to this place before and food was always great so we knew it would be a good experience. We had seen on Google that they are open till 11:30 pm on Saturday so we decided to meet at a pub in cbd first and head down to chilli India around 9:30 for dinner. To our utter disappointment their Kitchen was closed at 9:30 and they didn't even offer any apology for the wrong timing given on Google and were utterly rude. Thank goodness for the neighbouring restaurant Chilli Everest whose kitchen was also closing (their closing time was 9:30 on google) but we could order a couple of dishes and have a decent meal. Utterly disappointed Chilli India.
