The absolute best restaurant I’ve been to in Sydney! The staff is extremely lovely and efficient. We ordered too much food so they proposed us to have smaller portions which was a great idea. I didn’t have one dish that I didn’t like. I must admit that the entrees were my favorite, pickled cabbage and radish and the crispy eggplant seemed rather simple but had the most amazing taste ???????? Worth every single penny!
Great venue in the heart of Sydney CBD, with a fantastic northern Chinese menu and extensive wine list to compliment your dishes. The room itself is great, albeit dimly lit, but it all adds to the overall experience. Would strongly encourage you to book ahead on weekends.
Restaurant is dark and moody with splashes of red, just in case you forgot you were eating Chinese. The food is a modernized version of traditional flavours, so most dishes will look a little more dressed up than what you might expect. Some things are left alone like the Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, but then you'll have something like pickled cucumbers as a side or a minty granita to finish your meal and you'll be reminded that careful additions have been made. Some interesting dishes with impeccable service.
Delicious food as always. Very consistent. Service is immaculate, staff are friendly. Nice atmosphere and very conducive to conversation. 4 stars because to me dessert is everything and the dessert that came with the golden banquet was disappointing. Not a fan of liquorice and mint and there were no other options.
