Very average. After seeing 4/5 of the reviews claiming they were good, I thought I'd give this place a go. Very disappointing. Bad service I can deal with, but their food tastes very plain and average. On top of that, they burnt our pizza! They are also extremely overpriced for their quality - $25 for a "gourmet" margherita. DO NOT EAT HERE!
Still one of the best pizzas in town. Had not been for a long time and had not been to their new space which is really lovely, great service, amazing pizzas. Very simple menu with some specials which I like. Just note that it's at the back of an apartment block on Bourke st. Loved it. Will def be back.
Whether this is Sydney's best pizza is a subject of intense and passionate debate. I reckon it is, and the Neapolitans say it's the only one worthy of DOC status - 'Protected Designation of Origin', which is basically like the French letting an Australian sparkling wine be called Champagne. The question is, does it taste good? The answer comes in the form of an unthinkably light and fluffy thin dough base atop which are sparse toppings, not a stodgy mess. If you've never had a proper, traditional pizza before, prepare to have your mind blown. The experience is rounded off by the classy setting and dark mood lighting you'd expect in the St Margarets precinct - however diners here can be a bit loud, so this isn't the place for a romantic date.
