Maya Tequila Bar welcomes you to Mexico!
We are a rustic and charming restaurant on Toorak Road, South Yarra. Our team mostly have a Latin background and will happily recommend the best from their part of the world.
Our dinner menu includes many favourites but with a twist. Try the street snacks or 'Antojitos' and tacos, which are best for sharing. Think agave roasted lamb ribs, prawns with chamoy sauce and crispy fish tacos. If you prefer going solo, we have classic burritos and quesadillas that will satisfy you.
If you are spontaneous and hungry, we have a 'Feed Me' option, where our team will serve you our favourites from the menu.
Our cocktail list allows tequila to shine. Margaritas are a speciality as our bartenders love infusing our favourite booze with hibiscus, chipotle, dried mango among many others. The Perfect Margarita and Hibiscus Margarita are a must try.
Maya Bar has interesting facts - Why are Pubs called Hotels in Australia? A pub, short for Public House, is an establishment whose main function is to serve alcohol, mostly beer. Also known as an Ale house or Tavern. The reason for this is that until recently, in Australia (late 1980s), pubs were forced, by the liquor laws, to provide accommodation and so were accurately called hotels.
