About The New England Hotel:

The New England Hotel, now known as "The Newie" was established in 1857. The Newie was where Peter Allen practiced playing the piano in his early years. In 2006 the first female Licensee was appointed. The Newie is a regular supporter of the Colleges of the University of New England.
