About Bankstown Hotel:

Oscars Hotels was founded by brothers Bill and Mario Gravanis in 1988 all before they were 20 years of age! Their first acquisition was the Bankstown Hotel which the gents traded till 1993 until the sale.

hey then purchased the Bankstown Hotel and then two more venues in the south west which set them on the path. Southern Cross would soon be bought again and would become a permanent fixture in the Oscars` portfolio and also acts as the base for Head Office.

The Oscars brand was founded in 2004 when the directors embarked on a massive restructure of the business which would result in several venues undergoing extensive refurbishment and acquisitions aplenty. Oscars Hotels currently operates nine venues and is still planning on expansion - Southern Cross Hotel, Oscars Bar & Restaurant in Pyrmont, Bankstown Hotel, Oscars Sports Bar in Bankstown, The Court Hotel in Campelltown, Sweeney`s in the CBD and the Towradgi Beach Hotel was bought as the Illawarra Champion Hotel in 2000 and was renovated during 2006 into what is now the most impressive hotel venue in the Wollongong region.
