The Alberton Hotel is an impressive blue stone structure, with an expansive balcony and casement windows. Located on Port Road, the Hotel is just a short distance from the historic precinct of Port Adelaide. Originally built in 1848, the Alberton has always existed as a hotel. For the past 60 years the Hotel has been owned and operated by the Brien family, who like to think of the Alberton as a 'family pub, not a casino' - a fitting statement, as the Hotel is also the Brien family home. The Alberton maintains a large selection of fine Australian and international wines, including five vintages of Grange Hermitage. Check out the specials on the Sip n Save web site. The Alberton is a fantastic venue for a family night out, and Peter Brien reminds patrons that restaurant bookings are essential.
