Back in 1886 the Emu Inn (better known as "The Emu") was condemned by the Police, and as a consequence a new look Orient Hotel opened. In 1937, the Orient became the Nepean, but to locals the hotel was always "The Emu" 1998 witnesses the transformation of this grand old hotel into a true Irish Pub, boasting all the traditions and authenticity of Ireland herself!
The unmistakable personality of the old and original bars, the pub doors and windows, memorabilia that dates hundred of years, even including a fishing boat that tackled the big ones! The Function Rooms are available for private parties, business and corporate events.

The Old Lapstone Hotel was built in the 1930's at the RAAF Base Glenbrook, it was intended to catch passing traffic and to save hotel guests from disturbance. It has been part of the RAAF Base since 1928. It is currently the Officers Mess and has been restored and the new interior re-modelled, the outside remains the same. The entrance was moved from here during the widening of the Great Western Highway in 1980.
The New Lapstone Hotel was established in 1980 in Blaxland. The Lapstone Hotel was purchased by the Lewis Group of Hotels and has just undergone a total refurbishment and renovation in 2007.
The Hotel is open 364 days a year with facilities that include ATM's, wheelchair access and baby change table. The Lapstone Hotel has Eftpos Facilities and accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Diners.

Our modern club is located in the heart of the Springwood community, the gateway to the upper Blue Mountains.
We are renowned for our excellent Brasserie which serves lunch and dinner daily and provides cafe service all day. There are daily specials and all meals are made to order, plus we have a selection of gluten free and vegetarian options. We also serve a range of tempting cakes plus coffee and speciality teas.
The club has a number of outdoor areas including a large deck and terrace. We have a children’s playroom and in the winter months warm up in front of our cosy fireplace.
Members and visitors enjoy our live entertainment at weekends and our raffles and promotions throughout the week.
Springwood Sports Club has flexible function spaces and often hosts weddings, parties and corporate events.
We also have two bowling greens and visitors are welcome to have a roll-up on bowls days or book a fun session of barefoot bowls.
