The place feels a little bit rough around the edges from a technology perspective. I noticed that the bowling displays have so much screen burn-in that some are quite hard to read. And the worst thing was the pinsetter lane software crashed across all lanes and the lanes had to reboot. Haha, I've never seen lanes blue-screen before. Apart from the lane issues, the wings are bloody fantastic, and most of the pizza (sweet chilli one is not recommended) is excellent.
My girlfriend and I bought 2 games and leisurely played through the first accompanied with afew drinks until we where informed that our lane had been booked and that we had to move on after 20 mins. 5 minutes later we where rudely interrupted by another employee stating that we had already been spoken too about speeding up to finish the game and that the lane has been booked. All of this would be OK if we knew about the amount of time we had to play the games or that the business books lanes while they are still being occupied and that staff interrupt you to speed up or move on, also your policy has no mention of this practice which leads me to believe the business values churning as many people as it can through the lanes to make the most money instead of focusing on customer experience and having a good time, especially considering the money we paid. We ended up not even bothering with the second game and left after we finished our drinks. Bar staff where also distracted and sloppy and took too long to fulfil an order. Overall disappointing with the whole experience, do not recommend choosing this venue as a place to go and will not be returning.
I visited Strike about a week ago for a small hen's night with my brother and best friend. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and we had a great experience here. We did an escape room - which was much more difficult than anticipated! We got stuck on a question and tried ringing for help but there was no answer, however because of this we were allowed an extra ten minutes in the room. The game master was really helpful and friendly and he dropped a few clues for us that helped a great deal. We had a really wonderful night and will definitely be back again :) The only thing I can fault is that the bartender didn't really seem too savvy on bartending. He made our drinks incorrectly, and then didn't stir them, but they still tasted great. That would be the only small complaint we had. The rest of the night was wonderful and the staff are so unbelievably friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend :)
The guy who booked us in gave us a great deal on our games. Very fun vibe at this place compared to other alleys in Brisbane (AMF) the bar can make a decent cocktail too. If you haven’t already tried the puzzle room challenges give that a go, it’s not cheap but a fun time (even if we couldn’t win)
